Yosemite is famous for it’s large granite structures towering above the valley floor. It’s truly awe inspiring. You can spend endless hours just gazing at it’s beauty.
We stayed just outside the West entrance to the park which allowed quick access. We had timed entry passes but entered the park early in the mornings, between 6-7, which allowed us to beet the crowds and get to some of the popular sites and parking areas while there was still space available.
Our insider tip is to take your bikes and post up in a picnic area before 10am where you can spread out, have lunch and a cool place to sit while accessing most of the Yosemite Valley using the bike trails.
